Jimmy Obituary

Jim (Jimmy, Jimelton, Jimothy) died on the Fafard Farm on Jan. 19, 2026 after multiple seizures, though he was surrounded by his fellow cats and Yvan Fafard, who was home at the time. Jimmy was born some time in September of 2025 along with his brother, Bob, and another unnamed sibling, who died after a cold night in the Fafard Farm Barn. Jimmy’s mother, Emerald, raised Jimmy and Bob in the Fafard Farm Barn until moving into the Fafard Steel Shed, where Jimmy and Bob were found by the farm owners, the Fafards.

Jimmy was a shy, scared kitten in his early years. He was much smaller than his brother, Bob, and was a scruffy black and white shorthaired kitten. Jimmy had unique wiry whiskers and round, curious eyes. Although Jimmy was scared of people, he began to get comfortable after being brought into the Fafard Farm House at the end of November. 

Later, Jimmy became well-loved by the Fafard family. After Bob was adopted, Jimmy became comfortable around others. He played with house cats Autumn, Arlo, and Eddie, and loved to cuddle by the fireplace. Jimmy became fast friends with Arlo, which stood out to the family since Arlo was very picky and usually was not friends with other cats. Arlo took a shine to Jimmy, becoming like a mother to him. Jimmy had a distinct, soothing purr whenever he was pet. Although he experienced health problems the weeks leading up to his death, Jimmy continued to cuddle and play with other cats. He never lost his personality.

Jimmy is survived by his brother Bob and his mother Emerald. There is no service pending for Jimmy, although he will be remembered fondly by the Fafard family.
