Letter From the Editor

While this is my last letter from the editor, it is the first of many things for all of us. You, dear reader, will not be seeing my face on campus as I leave for UND this fall, taking my experiences at BSC with me to begin a new adventure on the other side of the state. While a part of me is sad, I am excited to see what the upcoming year has in store.
I could go on about leaving, but I would rather talk about how proud I am of this newspaper staff and all the hard work they put in to make The Mystician the best it can be. Whether they are writers, editors, graphic designers, or photographers, it truly takes a village to create something with as much heart as The Mystician does. Not to mention karen Bauer, our kind and wise adviser who really is the heart of The Mystician. Thank you, karen, for all you do.
The summer has seen The Mystician change in all the best ways. Firstly, The Mystician has a newsletter! And we’re getting an Advertising and Sales Rep too! Also, the website has been revamped, so make sure to check that out. Along with the newest stories and the incoming staff, The Mystician has become so much more than just a paper. In the past two years, it’s become a business that will continue to give students a voice. Remember, it is better to be in the know—ignorance is not always bliss.
So with that I bid you all farewell. BSC will always have a special place in my heart, and I am proud to have called The Mystician my home away from home. I am excited to see Mystic Media continue to grow. Good luck to the new Mystic Media staff—you’ll be great.
P.S. Pro tip—use the bulletin board for any outrageous quotes you hear in the office. Trust me—people say anything, especially when it’s layout week.
