Mystics Run Half Marathon at Nationals

The Mystics Cross Country team competed in the NJCAA Half Marathon Nationals in Richmond, Va. on Nov. 12, 2024. The top three runners from both the men's and women’s teams competed in the half marathon.

The women’s team placed 6th thanks to the combined efforts of Ava Stafford, Paysha Rex, and Lindsey Schroeder. Stafford led the women and placed 21st with a time of 1:30:39.0. Rex followed in 30th place with a time of 1:33:12.2. Schroeder finished strong, placing 57th with a time of 1:39:51.5. The women competed against 116 runners.

The men’s team placed 11th with help from Morgon Brindley, Brody Ferderer, and Ivar Martell. Brindley placed 24th with a time of 1:09:57.7. Ferderer followed in 54th with a time of 1:14:28.2, and Martell finished in 62nd with a time of 1:15:29.0. The men competed against 171 runners.
